This is the first topic of the challenge - Day in the Life. I have a full time job, Monday to Friday, 9-5. I'm also a fully qualified make up artist and I did my training in LA Make Up Academy on Chatham St. Dublin 2, in 2010. As for the blogging end of things, i'm fresh out of the box as they say and just started a mere two weeks ago! Up to now, I never fully realised how time consuming it can be but I'm absolutely loving it so far, so the late nights are totally worth it! :)
I will say, I was a little stumped as to what to write about at first. My very first blog challenge. I mean, this is pretty big for me! So I obviously wanted it to be insanely witty, funny and charming. But also have enough edge to want the reader to come back for more. So rather than boring you with every little detail of my life, i've decided to focus on one aspect that it as the fore front of my every day life currently.
So, a few months ago I basically signed up to do Hell and Back. In a nut shell, this is a 12km assault course. Some of you will be familiar with it, for anyone else, feel free to take a look at the link! Call it peer pressure or some other kind of crazy, but a gang of 10 of us are doing it together. It seemed hilariously funny at the time, but as the day looms closer, i'm slowly beginning to think otherwise. Not only that, I'll be going on holidays just three teeny tiny days afterwards, to a wedding in Rome. The only good thing about this is, my bikini body won't be looking too shabby with all the training involved. The bad part is, I bruise like peach. So, donning many cuts and bruises isn't exactly a look that will be appealing by the pool side. I'll need to top up on my arnica well in advance and hope for the best!!
I live in Swords, Co. Dublin and I'm very lucky to have an area right behind me called The Valley or locally known as "The Jacko", that separates two parts of the town. Coupled with the amazingly sunny weather we've been having of late, this has been my favoured route for jogs.
It has got everything I need right now to make my jogs as tough or as easy(ish) as they need to be.
I don't think I need to convince you all why. The photos speak for themselves.
I've also been adding in a class of TRX and spin during the week, to try and boost upper body strength and zap that unwanted muffin top in my favourite skinny jeans.
I hope you enjoyed the first week of my blog. Here's to the next five challenges! :)
